Becoming certified in yoga at the age of 49 has allowed Johannah wonderful insight in teaching those students who are new to their yoga journey or who are looking for a gentle practice. In 2002, while pregnant with her second child, she was diagnosed with cancer that had progressed to the lymph nodes. Using mainstream and alternative practices, Johannah became a student of healing on all levels. Now cancer free and a mother of two girls, her focus on health has expanded to sharing her love of yoga, meditation, and the many benefits of slowing down in the busy world of today.

Leslie Bobb is a a fermentista, traditional foodie, and health educator. She co-founded the company, Cultural Revivalists, to teach people the art of cooking real food and, most importantly, fermentation. She is a Certified Integrative Wellness Coach and Nutritional Therapist with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Public Health. 

 She specializes in brain and gut health.  Leslie has co-written a children's book called "Things Your Grandma Might Have Taught You" and teaches cooking and fermentation classes nationally.

Martha Stockhausen, MEd., is the Co-Director for Take Back Your Health Charlottesville, Certified Aroma Freedom Technique Practitioner, a Young Living Silver Leader and Wellness Educator. She has been using Young Living essential oils for over 18 years and teaching health and wellness classes for two. She has devoted her life to exploring healing modalities and lifestyle practices that support optimal physical, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing.

Martha Stockhausen

Robin Shirley, HHC, AADP, is the Founder of Take Back Your Health Int'l. Robin was diagnosed with Systemic Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Chronic Lyme Disease at age 11. After 19 years of experimentation, research and education, she has personally experienced the power of a therapeutic healthy lifestyle on reducing pain and inflammation.  Robin is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a member of the American Board of Drugless Practitioners. Andrea Beaman, HHC, AADP, CHEF, is an award-winning natural foods chef, best-selling author, holistic health coach and herbalist. Almost 20 years ago, she was diagnosed with an “incurable” Thyroid disease. Andrea focused on healing her body with natural, wholesome foods, lifestyle and mindset improvements.

Four months later, her readings had gone from dangerous to just above normal. Two years later, her thyroid symptoms were gone, she felt great, and was 25 pounds lighter. 

Andrea works with clients to help them take back control of their health, while taking your unique biochemistry and innate healing wisdom into account.

The Outer Banks is a long island sprinkled with quaint beach towns off the coast of North Carolina. It’s filled with good vibes and beautiful sandy beaches. 


While growing up, Robin spent a few weeks here every summer and is honored to host you at our upcoming retreat in this magical place.

About The Retreat Location

We’ll be staying in a gorgeous oceanfront home with plenty of space to have quiet time and come together as a group. 


The house has a private walkway to the beach, a pool and hot tub, porches with views on each level, a spacious kitchen and cozy sitting areas.

What You'll Do On Retreat

This fall we'll be spending four days in the beautiful Blue Ridge foothills of Virginia. The fall colors and crisp air will be spectacular. 


This retreat will focus on strengthening your immunity, building your energy and cleansing your body in time for the holiday season. We will work on these areas: strategic nutrition, gentle exercise and movement, detoxification, and mindset.

Our retreat home is a beautiful farmhouse located in the rolling hills of central Virginia. It is easily accessible by car. 


The historic house has a spacious kitchen for our cooking demos and plenty of comfortable sitting areas.
